Enable and Disable Volume Operations
This section explains how to enable and disable volume operations.
You can configure whether users can clone and expand Persistent Volume Claims created using specific storage classes in the KubeSphere web console.
Note |
---|
The steps outlined in this section only control whether users can take these operations in the KubeSphere web console. The actual support for these operations by Persistent Volume Claims depends on the backend storage system. |
Prerequisites
You should join a cluster and have the Storage Class Management permission within the cluster. For more information, refer to “Cluster Members” and “Cluster Roles”.
Ensure that the backend storage system actually supports the feature before enabling it.
Steps
Log in to the KubeSphere web console with a user who has the Storage Class Management permission, and access your cluster.
Click Storage > Storage Classes in the left navigation pane.
Click the name of a storage class in the list to open its details page.
In the top-left corner of the details page, select More > Set Volume Operations.
In the Set Volume Operations dialog, enable or disable Volume Cloning and Volume Expansion, then click OK.
